Finding a gift for someone you love is something that puts pressure in you as you want it to be perfect and include your feelings. If this someone is away from you and you have been in a long distance relationship, you can imagine that this is even harder. You want the gift to show that you are the closest person to your boyfriend and remind him how much you care for him and you are thinking of him. The truth is that it is not something that needs pressure, on the contrary it is a nice opportunity to use for your benefit.

I have a personal attachment to this topic.  I say personal because I, myself, am in a long distance relationship.  My wife is from Europe and I am Canadian.  We have had, and still do, deal with spending large amounts of time apart and so I know from experience that it is a challenge and at times extremely lonely.  That is why receiving a gift from a partner who lives far away is important and means so much.  This article is dedicated to helping women find great gifts for their boyfriends who live at a distance and who they do not get to see as much as they would like.

As with any gift the important thing is the thought. Not only the fact that you remembered the birthday or the anniversary, but also the fact that you have given it some thought and didn’t get something at the last minute. Your gift doesn’t have to be expensive. The only thing to do is to spend some time thinking of your relationship and the time you spend together. Think of something that will make him miss you and the time you spend together. Think of things that are associated with you and not things he can find elsewhere.

Another great ideas is to send him something from where you are from.  Find a souvenir typical of the city or country you are in and send it to him.  It will give him a little taste of where you are and what he is missing.  It may even peak his interest and get him thinking to make a quick trip to come and see you.  Add a sweet personal love letter to the package to really tempt him and get his imagination running wild.  I remember my wife doing this for me and it drove me crazy not to be able to see her.  I counted the days and even tried to think of ways to make money to afford a plane ticket to see her.  Unfortunately, with the price of plane tickets being so high I fell a little short but the idea work and it work amazingly well.

One more fabulous idea is to make a video for him.  No, no, no not that kind of video.  A video that show a day in your every day life.  Start it from the moment you wake up in the morning to the time you go to bed at night.  This will give you the chance to wake up and say “good morning to your love” and the opportunity to say “good night” as well before you fall asleep.  This will give him the feeling that you are there with him even though you cannot be there physically.  It is a great intimate way to be together without actually being together.  Aside from the intimacy of the video you will be able to show your boyfriend around you city and really give him a sense of what you do on a day to day basis and allow him into your life despite the distance.
