Completing your very own online profile is not as easy as it might seem. The profile has to be interesting, because this is the first method by which another person can find you.
Rule 1: Thou Shall Not Lie!
No, you didn’t access the wrong page and I’m not gonna start reciting from the bible. But it’s highly important to be honest on an social networking website. If you put a nice but untrue picture on your profile you might register success at first. But imagine you find someone and go on a real date, then what are you gonna do with your little lie? We all know how sensitive humans are, so lying is not a good way to start a relationship.
Rule 2: Point out your different self.
All humans are beautiful in a way, all are unique in a certain manner and all are wonderful. We all have some unwanted defects and some appreciated qualities.
When you talk about yourself, give as many details as possible. This doesn’t mean you have to give out any personal data, it only means you must point out your ideas and qualities. We all like to sneak into someone’s private life once in a while. A profile with lots of real yet interesting data will surely stand out. You can expect to be contacted by matches that like your music or share your interest in used ovation guitars.
Rule 3: Don’t write as you never went to school!
Online you are allowed to use certain characters and abbreviations that are in fact grammar and orthography mistakes, but not here. Some young people think mixed words like “4fun” are efficient, but they don’t say too many good things about the one who writes them. SMS talking and other chatting abbreviations are not recommendable when completing your social networking profile. You never know who you might be coming across and the way you write is your first fingerprint when online. A proofreaded and interesting page tells the reader that it belongs to a person worth knowing. Hilarious pages are too much, you need to make your page just a bit funny.
Rule 4: Post REAL but GOOD pictures.
Even if we are not photo models it doesn’t mean we can not have good pictures. There’s a person for anyone, and unfortunately the first choosing criteria is, for most people, the one based on looks. Because of this truth, we must choose some pictures of us that are both impeccable and original. Make sure you are visible in the photo and better choose some prime plans.
